SMART Goal

Category: Recreational goal – To master the correct way of playing a Harmonica.

Specific: Master the correct way of playing a Harmonica through joining the Harmonica Ensemble at Nanyang Polytechnic and attending all the practice sessions of the Harmonica Ensemble at Nanyang Polytechnic.

Measurable: Able to play at least 15 songs correctly using a Harmonica after 16 weeks.

Achievable: Devote at least 30 minutes to practise playing the Harmonica every day and attend all the practice sessions of the Harmonica Ensemble at Nanyang Polytechnic.

Relevant: Mastering the way of playing a Harmonica will help me to attain my long term goal of becoming a professional Harmonica player. Furthermore, this CCA record will also help in my admission into university to further pursue a degree.

Week 1: Master the correct way of holding a Harmonica, the correct method of producing a single note and be able to play Doh, Re, Mi, Fa, Soh, La, Ti, Doh correctly with a Harmonica

Week 3: Able to play the 2nd song (Harmonica March) correctly with a Harmonica

Week 4: Able to play the 3rd song (Little Bee) correctly with a Harmonica
